Jessica Harthcock is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Utilize Health, a specialty care management solution that focuses on creating an improved healthcareexperience for patients with neurological conditions while delivering quality-drivenmedical cost savings for key stakeholders.

Utilize Health was born of personal experience after Ms. Harthcock was paralyzed at age 17 and spent years in search of the highly specialized rehabilitation that ultimately helped her learn to walk again. Astonished by how much of the burden of finding appropriate care her family had to shoulder on their own; Ms. Harthcock dedicated herself to creating a service that assists patients and caregivers in locating and gaining access to optimized care for a range of neurological conditions while reducing costs for individuals and families.

Ms. Harthcock received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University and her Master of Education degree with a focus in Leadership and Organizational Performance from Vanderbilt University. Prior to founding Utilize Health, Ms. Harthcock received numerous awards for development of neurological condition related programs and innovations, including recognition as a finalist for the Chicago Innovation Awards and induction into the National Spinal Cord Injury Association Hall of Fame

More recently, Ms. Harthcock received the 2017 Health Care Emerging Leader Award, the 40 Under 40 Award, the Women of Influence Award, was named a 2017 Health Care Hero for her work at Utilize Health and was recently named to the Young LSU Alum Hall of Distinction for 2020.

Testimonials

"Wow!!  We were SO blown away by your talk at the Summit.  I know you worked hard on it and everything from the tone to the pace to the amount of information was exactly right.  And, it was fun to listen to. It shows from our feedback surveys.  Words our audience used were “heartwarming” “inspiring” “compelling” and “genuine.” I also would add that 100% of those who saw you said they would recommend you as a speaker – that’s an incredible statistic so wanted to share – this is such a tough crowd!" - Eleanor Rosiak, Executive Director at WBL

"I was recently out in the field with my sales team and they are still talking about Jessica since she spoke at one of our Leadership events this summer. Her story is amazing and truly demonstrates dealing with adversity and access in healthcare. Jessica engaged and energized the audience and got a standing ovation since she connected with them on a very personal level. She delivered a high energy keynote address with a powerful message, and some laughter. She spent time understanding our business so that she could tailor her message and made it relevant for the audience. It is my pleasure to give Jessica my highest recommendation as a keynote speaker. She will deliver valuable information in an inspiring, heartfelt, and entertaining manner."-Robert Spina, Vice President of Key Accounts and Sales at Sandoz

"Our program, the Vanderbilt Program in Interprofessional Learning, had the pleasure of having Jessica Harthcock come and speak at our orientation event. Jessica strongly connected with our students and faculty as she shared her inspiring journey from healthy teenager to paralyzed patient to patient advocate to successful business executive. She is a very compelling speaker, giving our novice professional students an important patient perspective and the feeling that anything is possible. She also gave our students some valuable advice as they start their health professions careers. Jessica has used her experiences in overcoming her paralysis for the benefit of other patients, and she now owns a company that works to improve the lives and health of other neurologically impaired individuals. Her company maintains a strong mission to improve the lives for others and it is clear she is in business for the right reasons. We are so inspired by her story and her discussion!" -Melissa Hilmes, Co-Director Vanderbilt Program in Interprofessional Learning
